PRIVACY POLICY

The purpose of this document is to describe the way that the Buffa website is managed with regard to the processing of personal data supplied by registered users or casual visitors.
The present statement, published in accordance with article 13 of Legislative Decree n° 196/2003 — Italy's Data Protection Act — concerns anyone connecting to the website www.buffa.eu owned by Buffa s.r.l.
The statement also takes account of Recommendation n° 2/2001, adopted by European data protection authorities to identify certain minimum requirements for the collection of personal data on-line.
The statement relates only to the www.buffa.eu website, and not to other sites that the user may visit as a result of following links.

CONTROLLER AND PROCESSOR OF DATA

The Data Controller is Buffa s.r.l., with registered office at Via Auro Roccone, 2 – 91010 Vita (Trapani). Any requests made pursuant to article 7 of Legislative Decree n° 196/2003 must be addressed to Buffa s.r.l., Via Auro Roccone, 2 – 91010 Vita (Trapani).

TYPES OF DATA PROCESSED

Registrations/profiles

In order to benefit from certain services offered on www.buffa.eu, it may be necessary to register with the site by filling in a special registration form.
The collection of personal data denoted by an asterisk in the aforementioned form is compulsory for the purpose of completing the registration procedure; accordingly, if such data is withheld, or entered incompletely or wrongly, the registration will be void and the services in question cannot be provided.
Supplying personal data not marked with an asterisk (such as an alternative e-mail address or a mobile phone number, etc.) is an entirely voluntary action; in practice, the withholding or incomplete or wrong entry of such items will not have the effect of impeding registration or disallowing access to services.
The credential allowing access to these services is the password. Accordingly, to access the services in question after registering, the visitor's authentication credentials must be entered in the dialogue box that appears on the site.

Navigation data

During normal operation, and for the sole duration of the connection, information systems and software procedures used to run the www.buffa.eu website will acquire certain items of personal data that are transmitted implicitly while internet communication protocols are in use.
Such items of information are not collected in order that they can be associated with the identified users but could, by their very nature, when processed and associated with data held by third parties, allow the identification of users (e.g. IP addresses), domain names of terminals used, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of applicants, timing of requests, etc.
Such data will be deleted immediately after processing, and used only for the purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and verifying its correct operation.
Data supplied voluntarily by the user
The non-compulsory, explicit and voluntary submission of personal data to the address indicated on the site for the purpose of accessing a given service results in the subsequent acquisition by Buffa of the sender's address or other personal data, which will be held exclusively for the purpose of responding to the request or providing the service.

Cookies

The www.buffa.eu never makes use of cookies to transmit information of a personal nature.
Buffa uses only so-called session cookies, which are not memorized permanently by the user terminal but will be deleted automatically when the browser is closed.
The use of these cookies is limited strictly to the transmission of session identifiers (random numbers generated by servers, allowing identification of the user automatically) needed in order to allow secure and efficient navigation of pages on the portal.
The session cookie may remain on the user terminal for a maximum duration of 15 days, if the user voluntarily enables the "remember me" function.
The session cookies used on this site obviate the need for recourse to other information techniques that might prejudice the confidentiality of user navigation activity, and do not allow the acquisition of personal data by which the user can be identified.
